Joke

A little girl, when asked her name, would reply, "I'm Mr. Brown's daughter."

Her mother told her this was wrong, she must say, "I'm Jane Brown."

The Vicar spoke to her in Sunday School, and said, "Aren't you Mr. Brown's daughter?"

She replied, "I thought I was, but mother says I'm not."

"I want to divorce my husband because he has a lousy memory!"

"Why would you want to divorce him for that?"

"Every time he gets around a young woman, he keeps forgetting that he's married!"

A woman phones up her husband at work for a chat.

Husband : "I'm sorry dear but I'm up to my neck in work today."

Wife : "But I've got some good news and some bad news for you dear."

Husband : "OK darling, but as I've got no time now, just give me the good news."

Wife : "Well, the air bag works."

"Oh God," sighed the wife one morning, "I'm convinced my mind is almost completely gone!"

Her husband looked up from the newspaper and commented, "I'm not surprised: You've been giving me a piece of it every day for twenty years!"

Envisioning a sustainable societyKrishna Pudasaini.

The 1992 "Earth Summit" at Rio popularized the goal of sustainable development. Most of the heads of state meeting there believed that goal could be achieved by developing better technology and by writing better laws, agreements and treaties- and by enforcing them better. Unfortunately, their approach was flawed and will not achieve sustainability because they do not understand the nature crisis in our earthly home.

Imagine that, suddenly all the humans disappeared, but all the building, roads, shopping halls, factories, automobiles and other artefacts of modern civilizations were left behind. What then? After three-four centuries, building would have crumbled, vehicles would have rushed and fallen apart and plants would have re-colonized. Water air and soil would gradually clear up; some endangered species would flourish. Nature would thrive splendidly without us.  [Read more]

Two Friends: A short play

Biwas and Umang, these two are the names of the two guys who are very close to each other from the very beginning. No one knows from when they both are friends of each other. Ironically, the fact of these two characters is contrary to each other. The way they think and take theirs life is entirely different. However, both don’t know what is the thing that makes them feel about to be friends till the end, till both of them don’t extinct. Biwas do things in life as he is responsible to do so. He thinks, whatever he has got in his mind shouldn’t be true and he shouldn’t go for it without thinking the circumstances and the necessity. Nonetheless, he is a guy with a bit of loneliness and unfilled because he never does what he exactly wants. In contrary, Umang always feel that he’s the coolest guy on earth.

Poets are the painters
(by Bhuwan Thapaliya)

 Poets are the painters
crammed with
the patriotic
sentiments of love
born to paint
the walls
of the Earth
with the
liberal brushes
of their heart
for they discern that
love is above life
and life is beneath love.

Lips clustered by love
(by Bhuwan Thapaliya)

Thoughts are free
my lips are as open
as the thoughts;
"O love! Come
and seal my lips
with the zephyr
of your lips
and together let us
explore the infinity
and be as free as the sea
for the lips clustered by love
are more delicious than they seems

Body Smell :- Pradeep Basnet

Every minutes being far from each other
We used to feel very difficult like a minute
When fish remain out of water
So remember! You and I together promised not to
Separate anymore. Then we became two to one.
Since then days became months, months changed into
Years. Now it has been two decades that you my dear,
My heart! You voluntarily belonged to somebody else.

I tried to meet you many times but you never even
Came to the dream. I still do not know what made you
To be so iron hearted! I do remember you every day.
I can feel you your presence in my heart. Still I am having
Your body smell which is very fresh to my senses.
These smells make me crazier. Even more, this is the smell
Which prevent me to be somebody else like you?
Now again I do promised dear, the same body smell will be remain
Mine till I will have my life.

Ok I know this question is stupid and my answer is a big NO. But I assume there are still some people who think so. Ok for some who might be wondering how come I am asking such things…well this is why;

This morning I open my mail box and I see an email from one of my family member with whom I really get along…this person is in states and also working on PhD…simply loveable person. But guess what…when I happened to read his email he said something like I can’t see you like this sick get married so that you have someone who cares for you. LOL.    More here
